Orpheum Children’s Science Museum
In 1989 the Preservation and Conservation Association began its campaign to preserve the theater that currently houses The Orpheum Museum. In 1994 it was purchased by The Discovery Place, Inc which then turned it into a hands-on science demonstration museum and opened the doors on December 27, 1994. Here children can take part in any of the numerous projects and events like Weekend Wizards, a fun packed
Saturday of games and activities. Schools and groups of a variety ages are welcome to take part in field trips, after school events, and even birthday parties. Also through the Orpheum kids can get involved in the Girls Do Science club. View their website at http://www.m-crossroads.org/orpheum/.
