The Champaign Downtown Association is a private 501c3 not-for-profit organization charged with expanding businesses opportunities, advocating on behalf of its members and promoting Downtown Champaign to a wide and diverse audience. The current organization has evolved out of 40 years of private investment and involvement by its business owners and operators.
Today the association is governed by a Board of Directors. The board consist of a diverse group of interested partners committed to making Downtown a great place to work, visit and do business.
In 2008, the Champaign Downtown Association successfully applied for Illinois Main Street status through the Illinois Lt. Governors office.
