The CU Art Theater is now under the management of local Sanford Hess. His mission to deliver quality movies in a superior atmosphere is unmatched. The Art is now the only theater in town that serves beer, wine and liquor. Additionally they serve the best treats from fellow Downtown business Pekara Bakery, hot pretzels from Chicago based Kim & Scott’s, and gourmet teas, coffees and vitamin water.
A message from the owner:
We recognize that you have choices for movies: lots of multiplex screens or even staying home with a projection TV. We can’t beat them on variety, but we focus on customer service and providing the C-U area’s best movie-going experience.
We’re movie lovers too, and we know that nothing replaces the excitement of waiting for the lights to go down and the show to start. Come visit us and see some of the ways we’re making the movie experience different, and better.
Our mission statement: To be the true independent theater for movie lovers.
